Personal Training + Injury Rehabilitation in Forest Hill
Your goals. Your pace.
Our trainers in your corner.
Want to get stronger, return to training after an injury, or finally feel confident about what you’re doing in the gym? Good Move’s one-to-one Personal Training gives you dedicated time and a plan built around you.
No generic workouts. No trying to keep up with someone else. Just expert coaching, honest conversations and steady progress you can feel.
At Good Move, Personal Training brings strength and conditioning together with our sports therapy experience. We’ll look at where you are now, what you want to achieve and anything that’s been getting in the way.
You might be rebuilding after an injury, working towards a sporting goal or starting from scratch. Wherever you’re beginning, we’ll make sure you understand what you’re doing, why you’re doing it and how it’s helping you move forward.
Properly personal, from the first session
Before training begins, you’ll have a full assessment and movement review with Lead Trainer Tom. It’s a chance to talk through your goals, training history, injuries and any movements you’re unsure about.
From there, Tom will build a programme that suits your body and your life. One-to-one coaching means there’s time to:
Work on your technique and build confidence with new exercises
Adapt sessions around pain, injuries or changing needs
Balance strength, mobility and conditioning
Track what’s improving and adjust the plan as you progress
Ask all the questions you’ve been meaning to ask
You’ll have a clear direction, with support that changes as you do.
Building back after injury?
Getting back to exercise can feel daunting when you’re worried about making an injury worse. Tom’s background in sports therapy means your training can take account of an injury or ongoing rehabilitation while helping you build strength for what comes next.
Whether you’re returning from surgery, managing a persistent niggle or finding your way back to a sport you love, we’ll start with where you are today. Then we’ll work towards the things you want to do again, at a pace that makes sense for you.
And you don’t need to be injured to train here. If your goal is to get fitter, lift with confidence or work towards a personal best, you’re in the right place too.
Who is Personal Training for?
One-to-one sessions could be a good fit if you:
Want a programme built entirely around your goals
Are new to strength training and would value dedicated guidance
Are returning to exercise after injury or surgery
Have a more complex injury that needs closer attention
Want to improve your strength, fitness or sporting performance
Prefer the focus and flexibility of training one to one
You don’t have to arrive with a perfectly formed goal. We can work that out together.
The details:
-
Every new client starts with a full pre-training assessment and movement review.
Tom will get to know how you move and what you’d like to work towards before planning your sessions.
-
Personal Training is booked in 8- or 12-week blocks, with the option to train once or twice a week. Your session times are agreed at the start of the block, giving you a regular slot and the consistency to build momentum.
Each block includes a one-week “off week” for a holiday or an unexpected change of plans. Blocks run on calendar time rather than attendance, and aren’t extended beyond that off week.
